I think it's an awesome film.

Based on a true story of the Zodiac serial killer who killed several people through the late 60s early 70s, and wrote coded and uncoded letters to the police and newspapers boasting about it.

So far so standard but the film is more about the people around the investigation than the killer himself, and as in real life, the crimes remain ultimately unsolved, although there is a very likely looking suspect...

It's a very subtle, believable film that makes the most of a fantastic cast. The three main characters, played by Robert Downey Jnr, Gake Jake Gyllenhaal and Mark Ruffalo are brilliantly depicted.

It's not flashy or glamourous and the whole thing is quite understated. Yet it's a film with real depth that made me want to know more about the events on which it was based.]]>
